Provision Flows from Presence

Prayer Prompt #5

We don’t chase provision — we host His presence.
What He calls us to, He has already accomplished in Himself.
Provision flows from presence — not performance.

Scriptures:

  • John 15:4–5 — “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”

  • Matthew 6:33 — “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

  • Psalm 34:10 — “The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”

  • Philippians 4:19 — “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Repentance Prayer:
“Lord, we repent for worrying about money, resources, and strategy instead of trusting You. Forgive us for living in fear of lack; for living in an orphan mentality that doubts Your care, and for ever living in the love of money. We turn from greed and self-sufficiency to trust in You.”

Petition Prayer:
“Jesus, help us abide in You, for apart from You we can do nothing (John 15:5). We seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Teach us to trust You as the One who satisfies our needs (Psalm 34:10).”

Declaration Prayer:
“We declare that God will supply every need of Forward Church according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
In Jesus’ name, we tear down strongholds of poverty, fear of lack, greed, mistrust, and orphan thinking. We declare that the Lord is our Shepherd — we lack nothing.”

Durable People in a Hard Place

Prayer Prompt #6

God is building a people stronger than the ground we stand on.
The soil may be tough, but He’s making us tougher — with hearts soft toward Him and spirits strong in faith.

Scriptures:

  • Ezekiel 36:26 — “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

  • James 1:2–4 — “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

  • Ezekiel 3:9 — “Like emery harder than flint have I made your forehead. Fear them not, nor be dismayed at their looks...”

  • Matthew 16:18 — “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Repentance Prayer:
“Lord, we repent for complaining in trials, for giving up too easily, and for letting discouragement weaken us. Forgive us for unbelief and inconsistency. We repent for living with an orphan mindset that runs when things get hard instead of trusting You to make us strong. We repent for self-pity, for comparing our hardships to others, and for forgetting that You are with us in the fire.”

Petition Prayer:
“Lord, give us new hearts and new spirits (Ezekiel 36:26). Strengthen us through trials to produce perseverance and maturity (James 1:2–4). Make us steadfast, immovable, and unshakable.”

Declaration Prayer:
“We declare that Forward is a church where the gates of hell will not prevail against (Matthew 16:18). God has made us strong as flint, durable and consistent (Ezekiel 3:9).
In Jesus’ name, we tear down strongholds of weariness, discouragement, inconsistency, quitting, and orphan thinking. We declare resilience, perseverance, and steadfast faith in Christ.”

Tip of The Spear

Prayer Prompt #7

We are not isolated. God has called us pioneers in this next season — cutting a path in a new land for others to follow.
We are not on the sidelines — we are on the frontlines.
We’ve been chosen to break ground for others who will come behind us.

Scriptures:

  • Acts 13:2 — “While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’”

  • Acts 4:29-31 — “Lord, …grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.”

  • Isaiah 61:1 — “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”

Repentance Prayer:
“Lord, we repent for shrinking back in fear, for choosing comfort over courage, for withholding our ‘yes’ when You called us forward, and for our complacency. Forgive us for passivity and hesitation.”

Petition Prayer:
“Holy Spirit, set apart and anoint us for the work You’ve called us to (Acts 13:2). Fill us with Your Spirit to proclaim good news, bind up the brokenhearted, and set captives free (Isaiah 61:1).”

Declaration Prayer:
“We declare that Forward is not on the sidelines but on the frontlines of what God is doing in this city.
In Jesus’ name, we tear down strongholds of fear, intimidation, passivity, complacency, and isolation. We declare boldness, courage, and Spirit-led pioneering in Jesus’ name.”

Establishing His Kingdom

Prayer Prompt #8

“Blessed is he who plants trees under whose shade he will never sit and whose fruit he will never eat.”

That’s Kingdom legacy.
We’re building something not for our name — but for His.
We’re planting for generations yet to come.

Scriptures:

  • Matthew 6:10 — “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

  • Matthew 6:33 — “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

  • Isaiah 9:7 — “Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.”

  • 1 Corinthians 3:6 — “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.”

Repentance Prayer:
“Lord, we repent for building our own kingdoms — for self-promotion, selfish ambition, and living for temporary gain instead of eternal fruit. Forgive us for seeking our own will and self-comfort rather than Your will and glory.”

Petition Prayer:
“Father, let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in South Knoxville as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Multiply what You are planting here. Expand Your government and peace among us (Isaiah 9:7).”

Declaration Prayer:
“We declare that Forward Church is good soil where seeds of the Kingdom are planted and will produce lasting fruit (1 Corinthians 3:6).
In Jesus’ name, we tear down strongholds of self-centeredness, short-sightedness, division, and apathy. We declare His government and peace increasing in South Knoxville and beyond.”
